Addiction Intervention Program

An addiction intervention program is not an event but rather a life long process.  The intervention itself is only 2 or three days, however the tools learned by the family and their loved one is something they will use the rest of their lives.  The addiction intervention program is not just a speech to your loved one to prompt immediate change, but rather an entire woman_on_phone.pngprogram designed to not only make the addict or alcoholic accountable but also responsible.  If talking an addict or an alcoholic into changing was that easy than that is all we would have to do to get your loved one to accept help and maintain long term sobriety.  The addiction intervention program starts the moment you pick up the phone and call for a consultation.  After we are able to get all family members to agree to participate in the intervention we set aside two days with only the family and not the addict or alcoholic to prepare for the actual intervention program.  During the addiction intervention program preparation we cover all aspects to ensure not only a successful outcome but also to ensure a stable system to increase the probability of long term sobriety well after it is over.  Intervention program is just as much for the family as it is for the addict or alcoholic.  Unfortunately the reason we hear about such low success rates in recovery is because most of the time not all the basis are covered.  For example, people who go through an addiction intervention program before going to a treatment center have the highest rates of long term sobriety.  Reason being, the intervention allows the family to see all aspects of the addiction so that everything changes and we just don't send them to rehab for 28 days and bring them back to the same people, places, and things expecting miracles.

Drug & Alcohol Intervention Program

Drugs and alcohol are the primary addictions in regards to our intervention program.  Although we deal in process addictions, drugs and alcohol are always the most popular.  When we are meeting with the family prior to the actual intervention we educate the family on the likely hood that their loved one will most likely need to attend long term residential care for about 90 days.  It is uncommon for us to have a drug & alcohol intervention program that sends an addict or an alcoholic away for just 30 days or less.  The drug and alcohol intervention program is designed to provide your family with the ability to handle anything that happens before, during and after the intervention so that your loved one can take full accountability for their actions.  Most addicts and alcoholics do a great job of wearing their family down emotionally so they give into their demands and make it difficult to say no to their loved ones.  As strange as it seems, the drug & alcohol intervention program is just as much if not more for the family than it is for the actual substance abuser.  The drug & alcohol intervention program is to the family as the drug & alcohol treatment program is to the addict or alcoholic.  Addiction effects everyone involved and is not a victimless crime as your loved one may lead you to believe.  All families find it interesting during the drug & alcohol intervention program that so much of the way they are doing things are behaviors their loved ones have molded in them over time.  An addiction can not exist unless the addict or alcoholic makes it as easy as possible by rearranging everything to be comfortable for them.

Intervention program

An intervention program that changes and repairs the family system disrupted by the addiction, escorts them to long term residential treatment followed by effective long term aftercare allowing a complete 180 of people, places and things provides the highest chance of long term sobriety for you loved one.  When the family does a turnaround it almost always leaves the addict or alcoholic no choice but to turn around also.  We are not saying that the addiction is in anyway the fault of the family, however families through love, allow themselves to become manipulated by the cons and deceptions of their loved one.  If your family member is not willing to go to treatment or you feel yourself getting to the bottom faster than they are than maybe it is time for and intervention program.  So many times we hear about addicts and alcoholics going to treatment centers over and over again wondering why it does not work.  Unless everything changes from the length of the treatment and its location to the family doing an overhaul on enabling, than sadly it is unlikely we will see long term success.  The intervention program is there to help everyone understand exactly what needs to happen to ensure the highest chance of success for everyone involved.
